Cannacocktail Recipe: Shark Dank

Shark Dank
It’s summertime in New England, which means the weather’s warm, the beaches are packed, and every so often you might just see a dorsal fin making its way through the waters around Cape Cod.
No need to worry, though! According to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, sharks aren’t out to get you and shark attacks on people are a rare occurrence.
We thought it’d be fun to create a cannacocktail recipe around our favorite (albeit frightening) fish. Using Triple M CannaSyrup, this recipe makes a frozen beverage, great for a hot summer day. Plus, the swirl of maraschino syrup makes it extra sweet (and a little bit gory!).
Introducing … the Shark Dank.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of Cran-raspberry Cannasyrup (from Triple M) (.5 oz)
- 8 oz blue sports drink (frozen into ice cubes)
- 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz Blue Curacao (we use non-alcoholic)
- 1 oz cranberry juice
- .5oz maraschino cherry syrup
- 1 gummy shark
You’ll also need an ice cube tray and a blender for this canna-concoction.
First, find gummy sharks! You may need to order these ahead of time… but we found ours at good ‘ole 7-Eleven.
Freeze 8oz of blue sports drink into an ice cube tray (this takes at least 2 hours in most freezers).
Combine the lime juice, blue curacao, cranberry juice and bottle of cran-raspberry Cannasyrup into a blender. Add the blue ice-cubes to blender (about 6-7 cubes) and blend until it looks slushy and smooth (about 1 minute).
Pour into a martini glass and put in the freezer for 5 minutes. Take out of freezer and dig a small hole with a spoon. Pour cherry syrup into hole and garnish with a gummy shark for that shark attack effect!
It’s gory. It’s good. It’s shark dank.
